Kaya is FINALLY poop trained
HOORAY! Kayla has been potty trained since May with maybe 5 accidents. As of Monday, Oct 27, 2008, Kayla went poop for the first time. She was a little freaked out of course--- but she did it. After Monday, she was off on her own going all by herself! She gets so excited after she goes poop because she gets one of her favorite treats--- a "ucker" aka sucker! Our little princess is getting so big- we are so excited!

The Ultimate Service
So, I decided one morning that I wanted to do something really nice for Chad since he had be working so hard at work and school. I must have felt very inspired and moved because I decided to edge and mow our lawn front and back. CRAZY! Those who truly know me, that is not my cup of tea. Some people feel relaxed and refreshed when they do yard work or work in the garden. No- I tried to find that feeling as I mowed the lawn, I never found it- I tend to get grouchy and have little patience with everything else. Nonetheless, I put on some outdoor clothes, pulled all the equipment in the backyard and was stumped. I couldn't get the lawn mower to start. (I had only mowed a lawn a handful of times in my life). My surprise was ruined as I had to ask for the assistance of Chad, which included waking him up (it was only 7 am). I found out that I forgot to prime the mower, however, I had to be given a Edger 101 lesson. I had no idea how to start it let alone use it. Chad was pretty amazed and shocked, but grately appreciative of the gesture. He even volunteered to mow for me because he knows how much I hate yard work- I said no. Through using all of our wire for the edger, mowing our jungle, and 4 hours later, I had accomplished my service project and I had a very happy husband. Was it worth it--- yeh- I love to see him happy like that. Is it on my list of projects in the future---- Uhhhhh.... NO :)

Joshua Lost His First Tooth!!
Good news! Joshua finally lost his first tooth!! It's been loose and ready to fall out for weeks, now, but he was too scared to let Dad pull it out. So finally, Sariah pinned him down and yanked it out! Yoorah!! Now he can actually sleep and function during the day. He was so excited! He is anxiously waiting for the rest of his teeth to fall out. I will keep you posted on the results of that :)

Karate Performance Team
At karate class yesterday, Mr. Ruiz (Marcus) asked Joshua to be on the Performance Team. They perform karate routines in front of crowds like schools and stuff. Only kids with the best skills and focus are invited to be on the team. Usually they only get older kids because they can memorize the routines and they have the muscular strength, but Joshua has it all! Go Joshua!!

Time for Toddler Bed
Kayla spent her first night in a toddler bed last night. She was a little freaked out when we took the side off the crib, but she seemed to think it was pretty cool to be able to get in and out of bed by herself. She didn't really want to go to bed at first, but she slept in it just fine and only fell out twice.
Toilet is Kayla's Safe Zone
Appearantly, Kayla thinks her little potty training toilet is a safe zone. Sariah was trying to get her dressed when she ran in to the master bath and plopped herself down on the toilet babbling something, as if the toilet would keep her safe!

First Post!!
So I have been wanting to do a blog for a while now, but Chad really wanted to do a website instead. Well, my friend had her blog put into a hardcovered book. It was everything that she had written and the pictures that she had posted over the last year. It was really COOL! I asked to borrow the book and all I had to do was show Chad and he was sold. I am really excited to make my first book and to read back what we write. Am I excited to learn all this blogging stuff..... uh... NO. It is to homemaking like, I guess. It feels almost like I am doing crafty things. Not my cup of tea. Who knows though, I might end up really enjoying it.
